月額$7.99からで、100万以上ものサンプルやループ、MIDIフレーズが使えるサービス
『Splice Sounds』を紹介します。

舞台の仕事で短期間に大量のサンプルが必要になったとき、Splice Soundsに1ヵ月だけ登録して使い倒して、かなりお世話になりました。

・アプリを入れる必要がある
・映像、ゲーム制作の人も使えるかもしれない
・タグやBPMで管理されているので探しやすい
・フリーBGM、ストック系のサービス用に作っている人は使えるものが絞られる
・登録と解除が快適なので断続的に使える

サンプルはクラブミュージック向けのものがほとんど。

とにかく量が多いので、たくさん曲を作る人のほうが恩恵が大きいです。

音楽制作をしている人ではなく、映像やゲームを作っている人がちょっとだけ契約して、自分の作品にフレーズをハメていく、という使い方もいいかもしれません。

Splice デスクトップアプリをダウンロードして、そのアプリ経由でダウンロードする形になるので、所持しているPC以外では使えなくなっています。

複数人でアカウントを共有して使う、ということもできるかもしれませんが、確認できませんでした。

ストック系のサービスやフリーで配布する曲にフレーズやループを使用すると、判定で他の曲と間違われてしまい、トラブルのもとになるので使わないようにしたほうがよいです。それを考えると使えるものは絞られてしまいますね。

サンプルを探すのが快適

ジャンルを複数選んで絞り込んだり、ワードで探すことができたりと、検索は快適です。

試聴もキーボードの↑↓でサンプルを切り替えられるし、波形の途中から再生できるので、リバース系のサンプルを探すのも楽です。

タグが多いので、絞り方に慣れてくると快適に探せます。

ただ、自分でサンプルを管理している場合と違って、絶対使わないようなサンプルも抜けないので、ゴミに埋もれた宝を探すように、地道にサンプルを探していくことになります。

多くのサンプルが必要ではない場合は、質の高いパックを買ったほうが早く目的のサウンドに到達できるかもしれません。

1クレジットで1サンプルをダウンロードできます。使ってないぶんは5ヶ月分ストックされます。100クレジットだと500まで。

ほとんどの場合は100クレジットもあれば十分だと思うので、$7.99だったらなかなか安いんじゃないでしょうか。

支払いはクレジットカードかPeypal。

登録と解除が快適なので、使う月だけ登録する、ということもしやすい。

規約

支払いをやめてもダウンロードしたサンプルは永続的なライセンスがあり、商業目的でも使用可能。と書いてあるはず。

7 Splice Sounds
Splice Sounds is a subscription service (“Splice Sounds”) that allows Users to purchase a fixed number of credits (“Credits”) per month to redeem for downloads of samples from the Service (samples available for download through Splice Sounds are “Samples”). Only downloads of Samples require a Credit; previewing or auditioning a Sample, organizing Samples into your personal collection and saving a Sample to “Your Sounds” for future use, in each case without downloading a Sample, does not require a Credit. Once you redeem a Credit for a Sample, you may re-download that Sample an unlimited amount of times from Splice Sounds without using additional Credits.
a. Fees and Billing. The subscription fee for Splice Sounds (the “Subscription Fee”) will be set forth on the Service. Upon signing up for Splice Sounds, we will charge the payment method you input on the Service for the Subscription Fee. Your subscription will auto-renew each month until you cancel it. We will charge your payment method for the Subscription Fee each month on the day corresponding to the date you signed up for Splice Sounds, or if no such day exists in a given month, then the last day of such month. You may also upgrade or downgrade your subscription through your account page.
b. Refunds; Cancellation. If you want to cancel your Account, please visit the Billing section of your account page. If you cancel your subscription, then your cancellation will be effective as of the end of the subscription month in which you cancel. Additionally, Splice may cancel any subscription without providing a refund if a User breaches these Terms.
c. License. Samples are licensed, not sold, to you. Subject to Section 7(d) below, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual right to use Samples you access through Splice Sounds in combination with other sounds in music productions to create derivative works. This means that, subject to Section 7.d, you may modify, reproduce, publicly perform, distribute, transmit, communicate to the public and otherwise use Samples, including for commercial purposes.
d. License Restrictions. You may not (i) use the Samples in isolation as sound effects or as loops, (ii) use Samples in a manner competitive to Company or its licensors, or (iii), sell, loan, share, lend, broadcast, rent, lease, assign, distribute, or transfer all of the Samples to a third party except as incorporated into a derivative music production.

What rights do I have for samples I download from this service?
You are granted a broad royalty-free license for every sample that you download from Splice Sounds. This means you can use, reuse, remix, and otherwise modify downloaded samples for use in any of your productions, including commercial projects.
The following is from our terms of service:
